May 30-June 2, 2013  Atlanta Food & Wine Festival

Atlanta, Georgia
Returning for it 3rd year, the Festival is the nation’s first culinary weekend to unite leaders of their craft – barbecue pitmasters, award-winning chefs and mixologists, Master Sommeliers, fry cooks and local growers – in the spirit of celebrating the rich food and beverage traditions of the South. The four-day event leads guests on a culinary journey through the region with a weekend of Learning Experiences and Tasting Tents, as well as Dinners and Events.

June 1, 2013  Georgia Peach Festival – Byron, Georgia

Celebrate Georgia peaches with a parade, concerts, food, peach ice cream, arts & crafts, music & dancing, fireworks and the world’s largest peach cobbler!

June 1-30, Repeats every weekend Georgia Wine Country FestivalDahlonega, Georgia

Dahlonega’s Original Wine Festival returns for the 12th Year with FREE General Admission. Starting June 1st and continuing every Saturday and Sunday for the month of June, Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery will present the GEORGIA WINE COUNTRY FESTIVAL at our Lumpkin County vineyard. A Wine Garden featuring guest Georgia Wineries from around the state will be presented for a fee inside the festival .Participating Georgia Wineries during the month include, Boutier Winery, Chateau Elan, The Cottage Vineyards and Winery, The Georgia Winery, Mercier Orchards-Hard Pressed Cider, Sautee-Nacoochee Vineyards, Three Sisters Vineyards and more. Georgia BBQ by three different vendors will be available for purchase on alternating weekends. Vendors include Godfather’s BBQ of Loganville, Rib County BBQ of North Georgia and North Carolina, and Atlanta’s Bone Lick BBQ. Additionally, Georgia wines, hard cider and Georgia beer from Sweetwater Brewing Company will also be available to purchase. Music during the weekends includes the Polite Jazz and Standards of Tommy Dean and Mike Ewbank AKA Moose & Squirrel, Old Time, Americana and Bluegrass of The Buzzard Mountain Boys Hootenanny featuring Special Guests Ann Whitley of the Rosen Sisters, Doug Singleton, The Three Arrows and more.

June 23, 2013  North Georgia Winery Tour   –  Atlanta, GA

Tour three beautiful North Georgia Wineries while enjoying three wine tastings, meal and Mimosas.

JULY 4, 2013 – There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 27, 2013  Food Meets Fashion Festival – Atlanta, Georgia
The nation’s leading, creative real food festival that raises awareness and find a cure for diabetes. This fusion of food and fashion is a fundraiser event for American Diabetes Association and features restaurants, retailers, and food vendors that provide organic, raw, vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian foods. Enjoy food samples, an edible fashion runway show, silent auction, live music, and a Zumbathon. One plate can make a difference!

August 2-3, 2013  Dillard Bluegrass Festival & Georgia State Championship Barbeque Cookoff–  Dillard, GA
Each year people come from across the nation to compete in this once a year event, and to listen to real Bluegrass music played by numerous bands from all over, and to savor the mouth-watering smells and sights of smoking meats of all kinds. There are always lots to do and things to see for the whole family at this wonderful event. The cooking rigs are a sight to behold, and the vendors serving the many foods and delicacies are some of the best in the world.

August 3, 2013   Still Pond Winery Grape Stomp Festival   –  Arlington, GA
Still Pond Vineyard & Winery’s Grape Stomp Festival features wine tastings, live entertainment, good food, local vendors, hayrides through the vineyard, and plenty of cold Still Pond Wine. Come and stomp some grapes!

August 16-17, 2013  Classic City BBQ Fest & Tailgate Show   –  Athens, Georgia
The 1st Annual Classic City BBQ Fest & Tailgate Show Aug. 16-17, 2013, will include live music, a BBQ cook-off featuring professional and “backyard” divisions, a kids zone, classic car show, tailgate tradeshow and more.

August 18, 2013  Share Our Strength’s Give Me Five – Atlanta, Georgia

August 24, 2013  10th Annual German Bierfest   –     Atlanta, Georgia
Now an Atlanta favorite, the German Bierfest has grown to become a unique experience of German beer and culture. As the one and only authentic German Bierfest in Atlanta, we look forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary as we return to Woodruff Park on August 24, 2013. August 31, 2013  Crush Fest, a Harvest Celebration –   Cleveland, Georgia
Crush Fest is a celebration of Yonah Mountain Vineyards’ fourth harvest. Join us for grape stomping, wagon tours of the vineyard, tours of the wine cave, live music, great food, excellent vendors, fine wine and the best company in Georgia wine country.

August 31-September 2, 2013  Annual Labor Day Weekend Catfish Festival  –    Kingsland, Georgia
Nothing goes better with crispy fried catfish than a succulent serving of music. Feast on both and much more during Kingsland’s Annual Labor Day Weekend Catfish Festival Aug. 31 through Sept. 2, 2013. The three-day event is the largest festival in Southeast Georgia. Scheduled events include a parade, free concerts, arts and crafts booths, fried catfish and other food booths, antiques and collectibles, entertainment, children’s amusement area, a 5K run, a classic car and tractor exhibition, and the annual Lions Club Pancake Breakfast.

September 7, 2013  Savannah International Food and Wine Tasting    –   Savannah, Georgia

Join us for the 11th annual Savannah International Food and Wine Tasting with over 50 wines from around the world and tastes of signature dishes from Savannah area restaurants.
September 19-29, 2013  North Georgia State Fair – Marietta, Georgia

The 80th annual fair will feature blue ribbon competitions, exhibits, concerts, flower show, pageant, delicious fair foods, and so much more! Attendance: 300,000.

September 20-22, 2013   Shrimp & Grits: The Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival     –   Jekyll Island, Georgia
A weekend celebration of two of Georgia’s most beloved foods – shrimp and grits. The festival features a cook-off, shrimp boat tours, cooking demonstrations, book signings, over 100 arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment and a kid-friendly fun zone. This festival is a must-see for any food lover.

September 28, 2013  A Taste of Clarkesville  –  Clarkesville, Georgia
Bring your palate ready to taste Clarkesville’s finest foods and the area’s finest beverages all while listening to great local music. Complete with wine, beer and food tastings, this annual event will leave you buzzing about it to your friends.

September 28, 2013 La Fiesta del Pueblo   –   Tifton, Georgia
Authentic food, festive music, traditional dances, arts and crafts, and a children’s carnival are part of the annual Fiesta del Pueblo, the biggest celebration of Hispanic culture in South Georgia.

October 3, 2013  Fall Taste of Newnan & Chili Cook-off  –  Newnan, Georgia
Main Street invites the community to visit historic downtown Newnan to enjoy a breath of fresh, fall air and sample the specialties from local restaurants, caterers and non-profit organizations.

October 5, 2013  45th Annual Rock Shrimp Festival  –  St. Mary’s, Georgia
The Annual Rock Shrimp Festival in historic St. Marys, Georgia continues its long-standing tradition of family fun with a full day of events including a pancake breakfast, 5K run, kids’ activities, a themed parade featuring decorated floats, fire trucks, tractors, golf carts, and more.  Downtown will be overflowing with all day entertainment, demonstrations, arts & crafts vendors, food concessionaires, and, of course, the sweet tasting rock shrimp that is the events namesake.

October 5, 2013  Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest  – Alpharetta, Georgia
Downtown Alpharetta comes alive for this annual beer fest with great food and beverages for purchase. Bring your own chairs or tables available for purchase. Street dance to live band.

October 7, 2013  Taste of Eatonton  –  Eatonton, Georgia
The Taste of Eatonton takes the stage for one night only and lights up the evening with mouth-watering food and fun, leaving no attendee in hunger. The event offers tastings from over 20 area eateries from Eatonton and surrounding communities, a silent auction and raffle. These tasty treats are displayed under tents pitched on the expansive green lawn in front of the historic Plaza Arts Center. This is not the event to try to resist temptation. As the night rolls along, settle in to enjoy company of friends and family, along with outstanding food, beer and wine.

October 8-20, 2013  Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival   –  Richmond Hill, Georgia
The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival is an annual event in Richmond Hill, held each year on the third weekend in October. Since 1999, the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce has had the honor of inviting people from all over the Southeast to sample Southern hospitality while enjoying the best seafood in the world.

October 18, 2013    Oktoberfest Boutique Beer Tasting  –  Newnan, Georgia
Stroll through downtown and visit all shops and restaurants to taste the finest in micro brewed and imported beer selections.

October 18-19, 2013  Tennille BBQ Blast  –  Tennille, Georgia
Enjoy a BBQ cook-off competition, arts and craft vendors, live music, car show and much more.

October 25-26, 2013   Hillbilly Hog BBQ Throwdown & Fall Leaf Festival  –  Cleveland, Georgia
For its fifth year, the event will be returning to beautiful Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia. There truly will be something for everyone at this new fall favorite in North Georgia. A professional BBQ competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society is the highlight of the event. Not only will teams be competing for a prize pot of over $10,000, but they will be trying to rack up more points in the Georgia BBQ Championship series for 2013 for the title of Grand Champion in Georgia!

October 25-27, 2013   Taste of Atlanta  – Atlanta, Georgia
Taste of Atlanta is a food lover’s dream festival that attracts thousands of people from around the country every year to enjoy culinary creations from the city’s finest restaurants. Imagine more than 90 of Atlanta’s favorites dishing out samples of their tastiest creations over three days in late October. It’s a weekend filled with specialty food and beverage tents, interactive chef demos and family-friendly activities.

November Festivals and Events in Georgia

November 16-17, 2013  Taste of South Cobb – Mableton, Georgia
The Taste of South Cobb will allow patrons to sample much of the region’s distinct flavors in one place.  This Festival will display an International Taste Row; a History Tour of South Cobb; Kids Corner; Wine Tasting; a Music Amphitheatre, Celebrity Chef Cooking Demonstrations; Regional Chili Cook-off and Fitness Pavilion.  Moreover, 100 percent of the profits from the Taste will benefit will two non-profit groups: C.A.M.P a food pantry and Amateur Advocate Association, champions for volunteerism.

November 28, 2013  Thanksgiving Day – Nationwide
All StatesThere are so many events on Thanksgiving Day they are to numerous to list.   (4th Thursday in November).

December 31, 2013  Cherry Blossom Ball Drop – Macon, Georgia

Macon, Georgia, “Cherry Blossom Capital of the World”, counts down the last minutes of the year with a Cherry Blossom Ball Drop! The ball, made of metal blossoms covered with pink lights, decends from a tower in the heart of the historic downtown.
