June 1, 2013  27th Annual Strawberry Daze – Metamora, Indiana
Enjoy fresh strawberry shortcake with all the trimmings, live music, and a car show.

June 1, 2013  Monon Food Fest – Monon, Indiana
A wide variety of food vendors, live acts, pony and train rides, town-wide yard sales, and a huge car show.

June 1, 2013  Vintage Indiana – Indianapolis, Indiana
A festival of wine, food and fun. Celebrate with the Indiana wineries as they offer samples of more than 200 award-winning wines. Enjoy delicious food from some of the state’s top culinary experts, live music, artists’ booths and kids’ zone.
June 6-9, 2013  Food As Medicine: A Feast of Science & Wisdom
Indianapolis, Indiana
This highly praised professional training program provides the best introduction to medical nutrition therapy in the US, offering participants the latest in science-based nutrition education together with the knowledge, confidence and compassion required to successfully guide patients towards life-giving, healthy nutrition.  After eating colorful, healthy, whole-foods meals during the training, attendees are often inspired to transform their own and their families’ diets, and to authentically recommend healthy transformations for their patients.

June 13, 2013  48th Annual Strawberry Festival – Indianapolis, Indiana
Taking place in front of Christ Church Cathedral on Monument Circle in Downtown Indianapolis, the popular event serves an estimated six tons of strawberries and 18,000 homemade shortcakes. Entertainment begins at 10:00 AM.  Annual on 2nd Thursday in June.

June 13-16, 2013  16th Annual BBQ RibFest – Fort Wayne, Indiana
It’s 4 days of unbelievably delicious, mouth watering barbecue–slow smoked just the way you like them by national award winning cooking teams as well as some of Ft. Wayne’s favorites. The RibFest has developed into one of the finest BBQ & Blues Festivals in the nation.

June 14-15, 2013  Smokin’ on the River BBQ, Blues & Brew Festival
Jeffersonville, Indiana
Come and be a part of Jeffersonville’s annual state BBQ competition. Watch professional BBQ teams vie for the championship trophy and share in a purse of over $8,500. See the amateurs compete in the Backyard division, visit the beer garden, and listen to music as you stroll down the river, smelling the smoke of the BBQ.

June 14-16, 2013  The Strawberry Festival – Crawfordsville, Indiana

June 15, 2013  Indiana Gourd Society Spring Festival – Lafayette, Indiana
Free admission, open to public.  Vendors, IGS Gourd store, Gourd Seeds, Demonstrations, mini craft and dried gourd competition, music, kids booth, Auction

June 15, 2013  Taste of Tippecanoe 2013 – Lafayette, Indiana
A one day, multi-stage festival that draws more than 50,000 people and features a smorgasbord of local restaurants, live music, and ends with a spectacular fireworks show for kids of all ages. The Taste of Tippecanoe is the major fund raising event for the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.

June 15, 2013  Cook’s Bison Ranch Annual Calf Day Celebration
Wolcottville, Indiana
Enjoy a day of family fun where the music’s great, the food’s delicious and the buffalo still roam. Free wagon rides to see the bison.

June 22-23, 2013  21st Annual Indian Market and Festival – Indianapolis, Indiana
The Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market and Festival brings Native artists from across the country to Indianapolis to sell their art. The market and festival includes performances from some of today’s premiere Native American performers including storytellers, dancers and singers. Try unique foods including the crowd favorite, Indian tacos.

July 1-4, 2013  Shoals Catfish Festival – Shoals, Indiana

There is literally something for everyone: sporting events, contests, parade, fireworks, fishing contest, cooking contest, and catfish served up piping hot in the food court.

JULY 4, 2013 – There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 18, 2013  Celebrity Chef Tour –  Roanoke, Indiana
Benefitting the James Beard Foundation, featuring Award-Winning Chefs.

July 19-20, 2013  Wine, Brew & Bar-B-Que Too – New Palestine, Indiana
Teams will compete for $10,000 in prize money at the Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. There will be Indiana wines and brews, as well as live entertainment all day.

July 20, 2013 MidSummer Celebration  –  Madison, IN

This tasty event celebrates “the good life.” Free wine samples join a gourmet bread, fruit and cheese buffet. From cheeses of the world to focchias, flat and oriental breads, Midsummer Celebration is Indiana’s tastiest Saturday of the summer.

July 26-27, 2013  19th Annual Hot Dog Festival – Frankfort, Indiana
Hot Dog Tent, Arts & Crafts, Dachshund Races, Entertainment, Flea Market, Food Booths. Organizers were inspired by the school mascot, the Hot Dog.

July 26-28, 2013  Pierogi Festival – Whiting, Indiana
Pierogis, polka, parades and more. Meet Mr. Pierogi and friends! Attendance: 200,000

July 27, 2013 GnawBrew 2013  –  Nashville, IN

GNAWBREW is the most exciting Craft Beer event set in the rustic hills of Brown County, Indiana at eXplore Brown County/Valley Branch Paintball Retreat. Bringing together home-brewers, regional breweries and beer distributors with artists and musicians for a fun filled, yet family friendly event.

July 27, 2013 Uncork the Uplands, A Celebration of Indiana Wine and Food  – Bloomington, IN

The wineries on the Indiana Uplands wine Trail, Indiana’s first wine trail, will celebrate the recent designation of the Uplands American Viticultural Area by showcasing their Uplands grown wines with local food artisans. Meet the Uplands Wine Trail winemakers, hear the story of the Uplands AVA, vote in the chef’s challenge and enjoy pairing wines with locally made foods. An optional tour of Oliver Winery’s Creekbend Vineyard is available from 12-3-p.m.

August 2-18, 2013  Indiana State Fair – Indianapolis, Indiana

Celebrating the Hoosier Spirit, the Fair includes Family Fun Park, Livestock Barns, Entertainment, Machinery Field, Parades, Midway, Culinary Stage, Antique Tractor Show, Brewer’s Cup Competition, and Taste of the Wild Cookout, as well as World’s Largest Male Hog, Giant Pumpkin, Giant Watermelon, Giant Tomato, Smoothie Blend-off, and Celebrity Milking Contests. Attendance: 975,000

August 2-3, 2013 Taste of Michigan City  – Michigan City, IN

Sample a variety of delicious foods from various local restaurants, visit the beer & wine garden & experience live music & family entertainment along the streets of the Uptown Arts District. Plus, Chef Coat Shuffle 5K & Bike Cruise.

August 8-10, 2013 St. Joe Pickle Festival  –  St. Joe, IN

An old time festival that was one of the Food Network’s All American Festivals. Good food, music, a parade, fireworks, vendors, kid’s rides, pickle factory tours, and more!

August 10, 2013 Taste of Cass County  –  Logansport, IN

Live music, family fun and great food from local food establishments set along the banks of the Wabash River.

August 17, 2013 Taste of Kokomo  –  Kokomo, IN

Enjoy great food offered by local restaurants, beer garden, live music, kid’s activities and much more during the 2013 Taste of Kokomo! This event will be held at Foster Park in Downtown Kokomo.

August 17, 2013 Taste of La Porte  –  LaPorte, IN

The Taste of LaPorte features a beer garden, live entertainment & a live fireworks show. Visitors can enjoy & purchase tastes from many of LaPorte’s restaurants.

August 30, 2013 Wine, Cheese and Art Festival  –  Washington, IN

Sample varieties of wine and cheese while listening to music. View antique cars, art and more.

October 5, 2013  Gluten Free Living Now Expo 2013 – Carmel, Indiana

October 5-6, 2013 Hunter’s Moon Celebration  –  Madison, IN

Autumn Adventures Await at Lanthier Winery’s Annual Hunter’s Moon Celebration. Fall gardening and crafting workshops join free garden tours and plant give always to bring fun and excitement to the stunning gardens engulfing Lanthier Winery. The Big Bulb drop and Fall Divide mix with Lanthier Winery’s French country garden’s colorful blossoms to make Hunter’s Moon a truly splendid celebration.

November 23, 2013 Turkey Tasting  –  Plainfield, IN

Come enjoy an afternoon of turkey tasting and wine pairings. There will be 3 types of turkey, traditional, smoked and deep fried. Each type of turkey will be paired with sides and wines.
