June 1, 2013 Vaile Strawberry Festival – Independence, Missouri
There will be approximately 100 craft & antique booths set up on the spacious lawn of the Vaile Mansion. Entertainment, food, children’s corner, carriage rides, vintage cars, and wonderful Strawberry Treats.
June 1, 2013 Strawberry Festival – Arnold, Missouri
Crafts, quilts, entertainment and all kinds of strawberry foods (strawberries, cake and ice cream, chocolate dipped strawberries, strawberry milkshakes, etc.) are just a few of the many reasons the festival is a day full of fun, food and fellowship for the entire family. A variety of handmade crafts and quilts are donated from all over the state to be auctioned and sold to benefit the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.
June 1-2, 2013 Kimmswick Strawberry Festival – Kimmswick, Missouri
If it is made with strawberries you will find it at this festival–everything from Fresh Strawberries, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and Strawberry Cheesecake, to Strawberry Iced Tea. Also enjoy live entertainment, craft & food vendors and rides for the kids.
June 7-8, 2013 Smokin on the Summit – Lee’s Summit, Missouri
The state championship BBQ competition is sponsored by St. Luke’s East Hospital. The event will be full of fun and great competition by up to 90 teams whose labor of love will fill the streets of downtown Lee’s Summit with the rich smoky smell of BBQ!
June 20-22, 2013 2013 Educational Conference & Annual Meeting
St. Louis, Missouri
The Herb Society of America focuses on educating its members and the public on the cultivation of herbs and the study of their history and uses, both past and present. The motto of The Society, “For Use and For Delight,” is taken from the 17th century herbalist, John Parkinson.
June 21-22, 2013 Excelsior Springs Wine Fest – Excelsior Springs, Missouri
This event showcases Missouri wine from all over the state and includes art, crafts, music, and food demonstrations.
July Festivals and Events in Missouri
JULY 4, 2013 – There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.
July 12-13, 2013 Wellsville BBQ Cook Off – Wellsville, Missouri
The 6th annual Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned event will feature team competitions in Chicken, Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket.
July 13, 2013 Ozarks Berry Festival – Springfield, Missouri
The Ozarks Berry Festival is an annual fundraising/public relations/family fun event that benefits the children of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Crafts, quilts, and homemade cobblers and ice cream are just a few of the many reasons why the Berry Festival is a day full of fun, food and fellowship for the entire family. A variety of handmade crafts and quilts are donated to the Children’s Home from all over the state to be auctioned and sold at the Festival.
July 14-17, 2013 School Nutrition Association, Annual Natl Conference (ANC)
Kansas City, Missouri
The School Nutrition Association’s premier event is the largest and most important annual gathering for the K-12 school nutrition profession.
July 19, 2013 Annual Taste of the Ozarks – Springfield, Missouri
Benefiting Big Brothers-Big Sisters. Enjoy samples of food from Springfield’s finest restaurants, silent and live auction, $20,000 cash raffle, wine pull, and live music
July 19-20, 2013 Smokin’ On The River – Glasgow, Missouri
Our 2013 BBQ Contest will be held in beautiful Stump Island Park, located on the Missouri River. We are a KCBS sanctioned contest.
July 26-27, 2013 Racing for the BBQ – Lee’s Summit, Missouri
The annual BBQ competition will feature live music, a sausage eating contest, and family fun! Benefiting Whatsoever Community Center.
August Festivals and Events in Missouri
August 8-18, 2013 Missouri State Fair – Sedalia, Missouri
Join us in Sedalia to celebrate our great state’s 111th annual agricultural showcase! The 400-acre fairgrounds will present premier livestock shows, competitive exhibits, and first-class professional entertainment. Special events include the opening day parade, rodeo, queen coronation, Farmers Care Food Drive, Governor’s Ham Breakfast, and Sale of Champions livestock auction. Attendance: 340,000.

Crafts, quilts, children’s area and apple-related foods of all kinds are just a few of the many reasons why the Apple Festival is a day full of fun, food and fellowship for the entire family. A variety of handmade crafts and quilts are donated to the Children’s Home from all over the state to be auctioned and sold at the Festival.
