May 31-June 2, 2013  Newark Strawberry Festival – Newark, Ohio

June 1-2, 2013  Troy Strawberry Festival – Troy, Ohio
Troy celebrates its place as the center of Ohio’s strawberry production the first weekend of June. Featured are the strawberries, of course, and they come in all sorts of taste-tempting treats from shortcake to donuts to strawberry pie. Also to be enjoyed are the many arts and crafts booths, the athletic competitions, and the entertainment. One of the largest and best-attended festivals in the Midwest. Attendance: 150,000.

June 7, 2013  Granville Art Affair & Wine Festival – Granville, Ohio
The beautiful historic Bryn du Mansion is home to the event. Enjoy the works of over 80 fine artists.  Featuring savory cuisine, wine and beer sampling, live entertainment, and mini-seminars presented by the wine makers and chef hosts. VIP Tent pass entitles the bearer to wine tasting from all the wine vendors, both inside and outside the VIP Tent.

June 7-8, 2013  25th Annual Pork Rind Heritage Festival – Harrod, Ohio
The Pork Rind Heritage Festival offers family fun, entertainment, and Rudolph Foods’ famous popped pork rinds. The two day event includes live entertainment, corn hole tournaments, a 5K Run, and much more for the whole family. Second weekend in June. (also: www.auglaizetownshiphistoricalsociety.com )

June 7-8, 2013  Gold Wings and Ribs Fest – Pomeroy, Ohio
Motorcycles, Entertainment and Food lead the way to the beautiful Ohio River. Entertainment, motorcycle tours, motorcycle light parades, bike dealers, Art in the Park, cookie stacking, hotdog eating & BBQ Hog Callin contests, power boat racing.
June 7-8, 2013  Banana Split Festival – Wilmington, Ohio
Celebrating Wilmington’s claim as the birthplace of the Banana Split in 1907. Music, car show, crafts, games, etc.

June 7-9, 2013  49th Strawberry Festival – Bedford, Ohio
Presented by the Bedford Historical Society, the festival will offer plenty of berries with ice cream, entertainment, and a classic car show.

June 12-16, 2013  Holland Strawberry Festival – Holland, Ohio
75th Annual Strawberry Festival

June 14-15, 2013  Cleveland Wine Festival – Cleveland, Ohio
Featuring a wide variety of wine exhibitors and samples of more than 350 domestic, international and Ohio wines. Wine experts will speak on the latest trends, and Cleveland area chefs will perform cooking demonstrations. The Festival presents tastings, food & wine education and live music.

June 14-16, 2013  Versailles Poultry Days – Versailles, Ohio
The 62nd annual event will have chicken dinners, entertainment, Miss Chick and Little Miss Poultry Days contests, rides and games for all ages, two parades, kiddie tractor pull, 5K Run, arts, crafts, flower, and photography shows, and the greatest Ultimate Frisbee Tournament in the world! Attendance: 25,000.

June 14-16, 2013  Festival of the Fish – Vermillion, Ohio
A reunion of family & friends. Come join us for our 45th year. We feature daily entertainment, fresh Lake Erie perch sandwiches, kid’s games, food & craft booths, and parade, lighted boat parade, sand castle building contest, crazy craft races, and queen’s pageant.

June 14-16, 2013  53rd Annual Kirtland Kiwanis Strawberry Festival – Kirtland, Ohio
Some of the events and activities include a food court featuring strawberry shortcakes, a strawberry pie contest, Miss Kirtland contest, rides, flea market and a parade.

June 14-16, 2013  Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival – Avon, Ohio
10th Annual three-day event celebrates duct tape, its enthusiasts and its wacky and fun uses. The festival also honors the history and heritage of the city that is proclaimed the “Duct Tape Capital” of the world – Avon, Ohio – the home of Duck brand duct tape. From sculptures and fashion to games and a parade, everything at the festival revolves around duct tape and the wonderful City of Avon.

June 20-22, 2013  London Strawberry Festival – London, Ohio
The community is to be decorated in a strawberry theme. Event includes a strawberry shortcake tent, parade, nightly entertainment, and a car show benefiting Cystic Fibrosis.

June 21-29, 2013  8th Ohio Brew Week Festival – Athens, Ohio
Ohio Brew Week celebrates Ohio’s diverse microbrews during the weeklong festival. You can enjoy more than 176 craft beers from 28 Ohio microbreweries. Events include craft brew cooking competiton, Brew BQ Cookoff, homebrew competition, and Boogie on the Bricks.

June 22, 2013  Riverside Wine Festival – Findlay, Ohio
The Arts Partnership invites you to attend the fifth annual Riverside Wine Festival from noon to 8pm at scenic Riverside Park.  This premier event will feature twelve Ohio wineries, local gourmet foods, fine arts and crafts, live entertainment, wine exhibitions, demonstrations and more!

June 22-23, 2013  Lake Erie Wine Fest – Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio
The Lake Erie Wine Fest pairs the finest wines Ohio has to offer with the stunning Lake Erie shoreline.  Wine, food, live music, crafters and vendor, and demonstrations are just some of the unbelieveable things you will find at this amazing summer festival. June 22-23, 2013  Mulberry Creek Herbfair – Huron, Ohio
Enjoy herbal foods, plants and vendors at the herb farm’s annual fair. This year’s focus will be on herbs from Northern California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska.

June 24-28, 2013  93rd Annual RCI Convention & Industry Expo – Cincinnati, Ohio
Retail Confectioners International.  Confectioners and industry suppliers from all over the world will convene for a week full of networking, learning, and tours.  Meet confectionery suppliers and wholesalers and see the latest innovations at the RCI Industry Expo. Entry to the expo is free and is open confectionery industry professionals (industry credentials such as business card, proof of business, etc. required).

JULY 4, 2013 – There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 12-13, 2013  Ohio Veterans BBQ 2013 Cook-off – Kettering, Ohio
The 7th annual Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned event is presented by American Legion Post 598 of Kettering.

July 12-14, 2013  Delta Chicken Festival – Delta, Ohio
Enjoy chicken dinners, a midway, elephant rides, entertainment, pageant, Chicken Run, pancake breakfast, volleyball and dodgeball tournaments, and a parade.

July 12-14, 2013  66th Annual Italian American Festival – Akron, Ohio
Sponsored by the Italian-American Council, the festival will offer food, contests, music, fireworks and more. Attendance: 50,000.

July 13, 2013  Ukranian Village Festival – Parma, Ohio
Hosted by St. Vladimir Cathedral, the event will offer Ukrainian Foods including Perogies, Stuffed Cabbage, and Borscht. There will be Ukrainian entertainment including dancers, music, displays and demonstrations of Ukrainian art and crafts.

July 18-20, 2013  32nd Annual Lodi Sweet Corn Festival – Lodi, Ohio
The festival includes a parade, carnival, fireworks, and 5K run.

July 18-21, 2013  64th Annual Miami Valley Steam Threshers Show – Plain City, Ohio
Demonstrations of steam engines, antique tractors, gas engines, saw, shingle and veneer milling, drag saw, baling, prony brake, draft horses, threshing, and operating blacksmith shop. There will also be flea markets, arts, crafts, food, model engines, entertainment, tractor pulls and a large parade.

July 19-20, 2013  6th Annual Hudson Wine Festival – Hudson, Ohio
The event will showcase over 250 wines from local, national and international producers. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, international foods, artist exhibits, discussions on wine trends and various raffles throughout the weekend.

July 19-20, 2013  Marietta Sweet Corn Festival – Marietta, Ohio
Come enjoy hot buttered Ohio sweet corn served fresh on the cob and piping hot. Bring the whole family to experience a wide variety of delicious foods prepared by our local restaurants, events for all ages, contests galore, farm animals, historical exhibits and non-stop entertainment!

July 19-21, 2013  Jackson-Belden Food Fest – Canton, Ohio
Part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival. The Food Fest features festival favorites, such as French fries, Italian sausage sandwiches, pizza, corn dogs, hot dogs, cotton candy, lemon shakes and funnel cakes, alongside barbecue ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, stromboli, subs, nachos, chicken tenders, banana splits, hot fudge sundaes, hamburgers, chicken on a stick and cheese steaks.  Fireworks, a playground of inflatables for children and musical concerts. Held with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement & Hot Air Balloon Classic.

July 19-21, 2013  Jazz & Rib Fest – Columbus, Ohio
The Jazz & Rib Fest has become one of the most anticipated traditions in Columbus–thanks to hot ribs, cool jazz and great fans!

July 19-21, 2013  Wellington Cheese Festival – Wellington, Ohio
The festival kicks off every 3rd weekend in July in historic downtown Wellington. Activities include performances, food, rides, games, Ohio wine tasting, parade, and macaroni & cheese eating contest.

July 24-Aug 4, 2013  Ohio State Fair – Columbus, Ohio
Celebrating Ohio’s agriculture, products, and people for over 150 years, the fair includes concerts, educational exhibits, rides, competitions, and much more. Attendance is over 800,000 annually.

August 8-11, 2013  Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Show
Georgetown, Ohio
Antique/craft/flea market, 4 parades, tractors, engines & equipment, Sunday antique car show, camping & RV sites, baby costume contest, entertainment, antique and garden tractor pulls, covered bridge, log cabin livin’, threshing, sawmill, rock crushing, canning, broom making, grist mill, block making, shingle mill, blacksmith, etc.

August 9-11, 2013  North Ridgeville Corn Festival – North Ridgeville, Ohio
The 39th festival will feature Sweet’s corn steamed or roasted. Enjoy musical entertainment, parade, arts and crafts show, amusement rides, games, food, corn eating contest, 5 & 10k run, car show and horseshoe tournament.

August 9-11, 2013  Tuscarawas County Italian-American Festival – Dover, Ohio
25th Annual Festival.  Home Cooking at Authentic Italian-American Heritage Tent, plus variety of delicious Food Vendors, Games, Amusement Rides, Beverage Garden & comfortable seating.

August 15-17, 2013  Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival – Bucyrus, Ohio
First celebrated in the summer of 1967, this is an annual three-day event that is always held on the full third weekend of August. There are all kinds of activities to keep all ages entertained.

August 15-18, 2013  Lexington Blueberry Festival – Lexington, Ohio
Centered around family-friendly events and blueberries!  Every year the festival adds more activities and entertainment for festival goers to enjoy. Every night includes noteworthy bands. Each day is full of rides, contests, business vendors, locally made crafts and a grand variety of blueberry foods. Festive parade, 5K Run, Highlander games, children’s blueberry games and fireworks on Saturday.

August 17-18, 2013  National Hamburger Festival – Akron, Ohio
Hamburger Cook-Off, Ohio Hamburger Eating Championships, Bobbing For Burgers, Miss Hamburger Festival, Live Music, Family & Children’s Activities.
Attendance: 30,000+.

August 17-18, 2013  32nd Annual Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival – Fairborn, Ohio
The Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival features handmade arts and crafts. This is a family oriented alcohol-free event featuring children’s activities with free entertainment, parking, and activities. Many local and regional artisans offering handmade arts and crafts, and of course, Sweet Corn!

August 17-24, 2013  Dayton Beer Week – Dayton, Ohio

August 22-25, 2013  Obetz Zucchinifest – Obetz, Ohio
The festival continues to celebrate the wonder that is the zucchini. Experience the first-class entertainment, great food and fun rides.

August 24, 2013  AleFest Dayton – Dayton, Ohio
An evolutionary and unique direct pairing of fine foods with complementary craft beer styles in a responsible, educational, & enjoyable fashion.

August 28-31, 2013  The Sweet Corn Festival – Millersport, Ohio
Come enjoy hot butter flavored sweet corn served fresh on the cob and piping hot. Bring the whole family to experience a wide variety of delicious foods, large midway, tractor pulls, square dancing, contests galore, farm animals, historical exhibits and top-name country music entertainers while strolling the shady Historic Lions Park.

August 31-Sept 2, 2013  Milan Melon Festival – Milan, Ohio
55th Annual Labor Day weekend celebration with rides, games, contests, an antique car show, baby contest, entertainment, grand parade, Queen’s contest and more. Our famous muskmelon ice cream and watermelon sherbet are the must-have treats. Attendance: 50,000.

August 31-Sept 2, 2013  West Jefferson Annual Ox Roast – West Jefferson, Ohio
Held annually over Labor Day weekend, our festival is the only festival that cooks 5,500 lbs. of beef underground. Join us for family oriented entertainment, food, rides, arts & crafts, parade, pageant, bike tour, car show, Madison Co. Idol contest and much more.

September 5-7, 2013  Marion Popcorn Festival – Marion, Ohio
Marion County is one of the top popcorn producing counties in the world. Festival has top name entertainment, golf & bowling tournaments, porpcorn cooking contest, and the Orville Redenbacher Parade. Visit the popcorn museum while you’re in town.

September 6-8, 2013  40th Annual Mantua Potato Festival – Mantua, Ohio
Join us for the 40th annual Mantua Potato Festival. We will have many activities, contests and exhibits planned throughout the weekend. We are also looking for volunteers and committee members. Thank you to all that have supported us in the past, and we look forward to seeing you all at the Festival!

September 17-21, 2013  Jackson County Apple Festival – Jackson, Ohio
One of Ohio’s oldest and largest fall festivals–includes parades, music, apple peeling and pie baking contests, craft, quilt, and car shows and apple butter making on the midway.

September 21-22, 2013  Johnny Appleseed Festival – Lisbon, Ohio
Many local organizations provide old fashioned apple butter, apple ice cream, apple fritters & apple dumplings. There is an apple pie baking contest along with 35 food concessions, arts & crafts including yarn spinning, goat milk soap, chain saw wood crafts, dunk tank, games, dancing, music and theatre.

September 21-22, 2013  Preble County Pork Festival – Eaton, Ohio
Always 3rd full weekend in September. Entertainment, exhibits, food, parade and more!

September 25-28, 2013  Annual Ohio Swiss Festival – Sugarcreek, Ohio
Held in Sugarcreek, the Little Switzerland of Ohio, with parades, queen pageant, musical entertainment, rides, 5K Swiss Cheese Chase, cheese auction, cheesemaking contest, Steintossen stone throwing, yodeling Swiss cheese eating and Swiss costume contests. Sample award-winning wine and cheese from our local artisans throughout the festival.

September 26-29, 2013  Barnesville Pumpkin Festival – Barnesville, Ohio
The Barnesville Pumpkin Festival has become a tradition for families and friends who come each year to enjoy one of Ohio’s oldest and most popular festivals. Always held during the last full weekend in September, the Festival includes four days of fun-filled contests, entertainment, tastes, sights and sounds.  The festival started in 1963 in the basement of the Catholic Church and has has evolved from a small street fair to a premier event with visitors attending from all over the United States. Both adults and children will enjoy harvest-inspired arts and crafts, home-style foods, entertainment on two stages, a giant weigh-in of champion pumpkins, lots of fun contests and the Giant Pumpkin Festival Parade on Saturday. There is plenty to see and do and, best of all, admission is free.

September 28-29, 2013  Germantown Pretzel Festival – Germantown, Ohio
Fall festival held on the fourth full weekend in September, since 1980, featuring handcrafts, good food, and free entertainment with live music & shows, baked goods & pretzels!

September 28-29, 2013  Ohio Gourd Show – Greenville, Ohio
Food, gourds, gourd art, gourd music and special programs are featured on the grounds. Programs and presentations will provide information about gourds and gourd art. Gourd crafting opportunities will be available for children and adults without advance reservations. Gourd workshops (pre-registration required ) are offered on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

September 28-29, 2013  Geneva Grape Jamboree – Geneva, Ohio
Celebrates the harvesting of the local grapes. Taste freshly squeezed grape juice, wine, and various other grape products. All grand-stand entertainment, including the grape stomping contest, is free. Miss Grapette is featured in the two giant parades each afternoon. Rides, crafts, food, and other concessions pack the downtown streets during this grape filled weekend.

October 12-13, 2013  Oak Harbor Apple Festival – Oak Harbor, Ohio
Something for everyone! Pageant, parade, tractor pulling contest, baking contest, talent show, classic car show, 5K Apple Run, youth football game and local performers. Attendance: 35,000.

October 12-13, 2013  44th Annual Ohio Sauerkraut Festival – Waynesville, Ohio
The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival has grown from a small local event in 1970 to one of the premier craft festivals in the nation.  We jury our 450+ vendors to ensure that all items are handcrafted, and select items based on quality and variety.  Our unique food offerings range from sauerkraut pizza to fudge.  Visitors return year after year to sample their favorites, making the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival a favorite Midwest destination.  Always the Second Full Weekend of October.

October 16-19, 2013  Circleville Pumpkin Show – Circleville, Ohio
Ohio’s oldest and largest festival. Pumpkin growing competition, Miss Pumpkin Queen, World’s Largest Pumpkin Pie, fruit & vegetable displays, hog calling, egg toss, pumpkin toss, pie eating, baked goods, parades, entertainment.
