May 1-31, 2013 Gilroy’s Spring Wine Trail – Gilroy, California

May 2, 2013 1st Annual Uncorked on Fourth Wine Walk – Berkeley, California
The tasting event will be located throughout the Fourth Street Shops in Berkeley and will include restaurants and merchants offering wine samples, finger foods and special treats. Attendees wishing to participate in the sampling program may purchase on-site tickets for $25 or advance tickets for $20 via the website. Participants will receive a wine glass and map with all of the tasting locations. Ticket sales on the day of the event will be “Cash Only.” Don’t miss this unique and affordable event – experience the flavor of Fourth Street.

May 9-12, 2013  BottleRock Napa Valley Music & Food Festival – Napa, California
The ultimate celebration of music, wine, food, comedy, and beer, bringing today’s hottest talents to the heart of Downtown Napa. The lineup is filled with more than 60 artists and 12 top comedians.  Dozens of Napa Valley restaurants and chefs will provide the ultimate variety of offerings for food lovers throughout the festival, and wine aficionados will enjoy samplings from over 40 top wineries in a region known for wine.

May 10, 2013  Forks, Corks & Kegs – Visalia, California
Foodie Fest presents Forks, Corks & Kegs an incredible “Foodie” event featuring the most delicious tastes of Central California’s rich anagricultural produce and products. The Zydeco Blues and Crawfish Festival celebrates its 12th anniversary with a fantastic lineup of music, Taste of Louisiana cooking demos, 10,000 lbs. of crawfish and many other food delights in the French Quarter Food Court, as well as fun family activities.

May 11, 2013  Great Petaluma Chili Cook-off, Salsa, & Beer Tasting – Petaluma, California

United Fresh Produce Association Show.  Produce industry leaders will gather for our annual convention and exposition featuring our annual trade show, general sessions and market segment specific education. In addition, our trade show will feature innovative fresh produce marketers and industry leading tools and technology for the fresh produce processing and packing industries, as well as a food safety pavilion featuring industry salutations and our popular business suites for driving valuable conversations right on the show floor.

May 17-19, 2013  Annual Paso Robles Wine Festival – Paso Robles, California
Paso Robles Wine Festival is the marquee tasting event held along California’s Central Coast. Always the third weekend in May. The delicious wine of Paso Robles is complemented by local epicurean delights, featured throughout the weekend.  Winemaker dinners, live music and open house festivities at area wineries throughout Paso Robles Wine Country.

San Francisco, California

May 18, 2013  Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival – Santa Rosa, California
The 119th Annual Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival. The Parade’s theme this year is “Rockin’ Round The Roses” paying tribute to the Classics we love so much. After the parade, the Festival will include the “Stark Reality Battle of the High School Chefs” in Courthouse Square.

May 18, 2013  14th Annual West Coast Brew Fest – Sacramento, California
The West Coast Brew Fest is an brewer’s festival designed for brew fest lovers, by brew fest lovers. With Tokenless (read ulimited) Beer Tasting of over 140 different beers, Great Food from local vendors, & Live Music along the beautiful Sacramento River, this event is is truly the best brew fest on the West Coast! Tickets are only $40 the day of event or $35 prepay on  our website. Get your tickets early, they promise to be hard to get. Proceeds benefit the Sacramento Urban League.

May 18, 2013  EGGfest – Smokin’ It Socal Style – Upland, California
An event dedicated to the world’s greatest smoker and grill, the Big Green Egg.  Cooks come from all over to showcase their talents. There are demo Eggs available for people who wish to take an Egg for a test run.

May 18, 2013  24th Annual Culinary Evening with the California Winemasters
Burbank, California
Benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  One of the nation’s largest single-day charity wine auctions showcasing celebrated chefs and restaurateurs, winery owners and winemakers. Extraordinary silent and live auctions.  The event will be held on the “Midwest Street” backlot at Warner Bros..

May 18, 2013  Keg, Cork & Fork – Red Bluff, California
The “Keg, Cork & Fork Fest” fundraiser will feature live music and fine wine, craft beer and gourmet food tasting provided by some of the most popular wineries, breweries and restaurants in the north state, spotlighting Tehama, Shasta and Butte counties.  There is no charge for vendors to participate in the event and an on-site alcohol license will be covered by the Elk’s Lodge. May 18-19, 2013  Annual Boogie on the Bayou – Campbell, California
This popular Cajun-inspired celebration draws attendees from all over the Bay Area to enjoy the authentic food, live entertainment, unique arts and crafts and the enormous family fun zone. Attendance: 60,000.

June 7-8, 2013  37th Annual Monterey Wine Festival – Monterey, California
Now in its 37th year The Monterey Wine Festival continues to evolve into a platform designed for the regional wine industry and the community of wine lovers.  Spirits, Beers, Oysters and champagne are all featured as well as seafood, arrays of cheeses, charcuterie and more all pair nicely with the wines.  The Bartenders Fedora Professional Cocktail Competition Throw Down!  Live music.  Wine, Food, Beer, Spirits, Music!   Also the West Coast Chowder Competition.

June 7, 2013 7th Annual Raley Field Brewfest   – Sacramento, California
During this Northern California Festival of Beers, all of the festivities will take place on the Raley Field outfield, with brewers set up in a quarter-mile semi-circle around the perimeter of the playing surface and a stage set up near second base.

June 8, 2013  Rods & Rails Classic – Perris Potato Festival – Perris, California

The Perris Valley Historical Association will hold its annual potato festival at the event including a kid’s zone.

Barbera is becoming more and more popular in California. Many California producers offer a varietal Barbera. Barbera is a great food wine yet quite enjoyable on its own. Still, Barbera remains fairly obscure. The festival aims to bring Barbera to the attention of the general wine buying public. The event includes more than 80 California wineries, gourmet food, live music and local artists.

July 6-7, 2013  626 Night Market – Arcadia, California
The 626 Night Market is the largest Asian night market in the U.S. featuring over 150 local restaurants, food vendors, entrepreneurs, merchandise vendors, artists, musicians, and non-profit groups. Night markets are a staple in Asian societies with the primary focus on hundreds of different Asian street food and merchandise vendors. The 626 Night Market brings the energy and spirit of Asian night markets to Los Angeles. June 8-9; July 6-7 & August 3-4, 2013.

July 6, 2013    World’s Biggest Salmon BBQ   – Fort Bragg, California

Support Salmon and participate in the World’s Largest Salmon Barbeque! This annual event, held at Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg, is held to benefit salmon restoration causes, from reviving spawning grounds in the Noyo River to counting salmon in the Usal Forest. July 18-20, 2013  California Wine Festival 2013 – Santa Barbara, California
The ‘Biggest Wine Festival Under the Sun.’  Over 200 of California’s finest wines from every wine region in the state – showcasing a total of over 350 fine wines. Over 2,500 wine fans will grab their glass and start swirling and sipping, while live music on stage keeps the party going.

There is also a free hayride transportation shuttle that will take you from venue to venue for those of you who don’t want to walk. One of the family owned and operated cider companies in Ferndale is called Clendenen’s Cider works. There will be over 30 varieties of apples that are grown at the farm.
