May 3-5, 2013  29th Annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival – Pensacola, Florida
The event is one of the largest crawfish boils in the state and features thousands of pounds of boiled crawfish in addition to other traditional Cajun and Creole fare such as red beans & rice, crawfish pie, boudin balls, and even fried gator tails.

May 4, 2013  39th Annual Panacea Blue Crab Fest – Panacea, Florida
Held annually at Woolley Park on scenic Dickerson Bay, the festival promotes the crab industry in Wakulla County. Enjoy a parade, live music, dance performances, historic demonstrations, a crab picking contest, fireworks, and lots of good food including boiled blue crab.

May 4-5, 2013  Florida Blueberry Fesitval – Brooksville, Florida
Highlighting the Florida Blueberry and the 17 county growing region.  Located in the northern Tampa Bay region, Brooksville will host the inaugural festival. Blueberry Stomp, Food Truck Rally, Fresh Florida Blueberries, Contests, Gourmet Foods, Live Entertainment, and more.

May 11, 2013  29th Annual Windsor Zucchini Festival – Windsor, Florida
The Festival will be a day of fun for everyone! Activities include Duke of Zuke & Zuqueenie Pageant, arts & crafts, Cook-a-Zuke contest, live music, hay rides, fried zucchini, zucchini ice cream, and contests for the biggest, ugliest and best carved zucchinis.

May 11, 2013  Treasure Coast BBQ Championship – Ft. Pierce, Florida
Sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association, will be held at the beautiful Riverwalk Center along the Indian River. Want something sweet? Enter the Best Dessert Contest on Friday night. Proceeds from the BBQ go to help homeless dogs and cats of The Humane Society of St. Lucie County.

May 11, 2013  Island Grove Blueberry Festival – Island Grove, Florida

May 11, 2013  Dine on the Wild Side – St. Augustine, Florida

May 19, 2013  8th Annual Taste of the Beach – St. Augustine, Florida
The event is held each year at the St. Augustine Pier and Pavilion from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. Local restaurants within the beach community are featured.

June 15, 2013 PGA National Resort & Spa Second Annual Craft Beer Festival and Burger Bash  – Palm Beach Gardens, FL

PGA National Resort and Spa will host the Second Annual Craft Beer Festival and Burger Bash to benefit Surfrider Foundation, Palm Beach County Chapter, on June 15, 2013 from noon to 4pm. October 06, 2013 Gabbert Farm Jay Peanut Festival  –  Jay, Florida

The festival has arts and crafts, live music, children’s rides, games, antique tractors and cars. There is always a variety of vendor foods at the festival, especially peanuts – roasted, boiled, fried, and baked. The Little Peanut King and Queen, and Baby Peanut contests are popular Central Florida Harvest, and Peanut festival events. This family oriented event draws more than 9,000 people annually.

For more than 20 years, The Jay Peanut Festival at the Gabbert farm has been a fall tradition on the Gulf Coast, showcasing the history, agriculture, food and fun of Santa Rosa County. What started as a chance for local kids and famers to show off their best of the season has become an annual event covering 15 acres and drawing about 70,000 people to the Gabbert farm over two days.
The event includes the 1930s Farm Museum, food booths, dozens of arts and crafts vendors, pony rides, games and fun. The Jay Peanut Festival is also a chance to try all varieties of peanuts – boiled, green, fried, candied and more.

October 11-13, 2013  16th Annual Greek Festival
St. Augustine, Florida

The 5th Annual Sarasota Pumpkin Festival has a new home in the heart of Downtown Sarasota at Payne Park. Sarasota County’s 5th Annual Sarasota Pumpkin Festival is beating to the same name in a new venue benefitting the local non profit, The Lazarus Foundation Kids Force.

 

October 27, 2013 Caring Chefs – The Avenues Mall

When it comes to food festivals in Northeast Florida, nothing compares to the quality, excitment and diverse selection that Caring Chefs has to offer. The first, biggest and best food and wine festival in the area, Caring Chefs is now in its 30th year of offering a night of tantalizing tastes from the First Coast’s highest quality restaurants, caterers and wine vendors.

Held every year in the fall on both levels at The Avenues Mall, live music provides for a fun atmosphere as you move from booth to booth sampling unique dishes dressed to impress. This year’s event will be October 27.

Last year, more than 60  restaurants, caterers and wine vendors showed off their culinary skills and fine wine selections for 2,300 guests at the Avenues Mall.

Recently named America’s #1 Beach, the Crystal Classic has become a favorite of the professional sand sculptors who have competed here. Citing the beauty and cleanliness of the pristine white sand, sculptors have remarked that their sculptures look almost as if they were “carved in marble.”

In only 24 sculpting hours, (spanning the four day event), the master sculptors create sand masterpieces, some over ten feet tall, and transform the always beautiful Siesta Beach into an outdoor art gallery. The Crystal Classic connects the arts and the beach in ways never before seen in Sarasota.
