June 7-8, 2013  Bourbon City BBQ Festival – Bardstown, Kentucky
Backyard BBQ Cookoff, KidsQ Cookoff, Kids Fun Zone, Antique Tractor & Car Display, Beer Pit, Retail Court Arts & Crafts, Food Court, Cornhole Tournament, and Entertainment.

June 8, 2013  Taste of Henderson Barbecue – Henderson, Kentucky
Part of the W.C. Handy Blues and Barbecue Festival.  Parade at 10am, Taste of Henderson, Live Music.

June 8, 2013  Winchester Beer Cheese Festival – Winchester, Kentucky
Held the 2nd weekend in June every year, the festival highlights Beer Cheese, a flavorful dip/spread that originated in rural Clark County Kentucky near the Kentucky River in the 30s-40s. The festival includes an amateur beer cheese tasting contest, a commercial beer cheese tasting contest, music, arts & crafts, kids activities and lots and lots of Beer Cheese.

June 8-15, 2013  W. C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival – Henderson, Kentucky
A week long musical event that features blues and Zydeco bands from across the United States. Not to mention the mounds of barbecue, red beans & rice and other great treats available from local vendors. W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival has become one of the largest FREE music festivals in the nation. The Henderson Music Preservation Society is a non-profit organization, all proceeds are used 100% to fund the next year’s show. Attendance: 50,000.

June 13-15, 2013  22nd Newport Italianfest – Newport, Kentucky
Italianfest is a top 20 must do event. Authentic Italian food and music. Fun includes a pizza eating contest, cooking contest, games and rides for the kids. Events kick off with a Bocci Ball Tournament

June 14-15, 2013  12th Annual Kentucky Blueberry Festival – Edmonton, Kentucky
Come join us for wholesome family fun! Games on the midway all day! We will have local Kentucky crafters, home-grown fresh blueberries, free face painting, free blueberry milk shakes, free kids games, free balloons, live entertainment, games, contests, prizes, food and snacks, and so much more!

June 23, 2013  21st Annual Taste of Frankfort Avenue – Louisville, Kentucky
Mini of Louisville Live at the Clifton Center is pleased to present the 21st annual Taste of Frankfort Avenue. Featuring food from more than two dozen of Louisville’s finest restaurants, live music, a cash bar and silent auction, the Taste has become a summertime favorite on Frankfort Avenue.

JULY 4, 2013 – There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 20, 2013  Sweet Corn Festival – Georgetown, Kentucky
Join Evans Orchard for our annual Sweet Corn Festival!  Craft booths, pony rides, live music and corn eating contest are just a few reasons to make this festival a must on your summer to do list!

August 8-11, 2013  International Cake Exploration Societé 2013 Convention
Lexington, Kentucky
International Cake Exploration Societé (ICES), an organization comprised of over 3500 sugar artists, cake decorators and vendors from all over the world.

August 8-11, 2013  26th Great Inland Seafood Festival – Newport, Kentucky
Free and accessible to all, on Riverboat Row, on the banks of the Ohio River in Newport Kentucky.  The Best Seafood You’ll Ever Taste!  Over 15 local restaurants & National vendors will be selling the best tasting, freshest seafood available, including whole Maine Lobsters, shrimp, crawfish, crablegs, oysters, salmon, redfish, and much, much more….  Come early as 10,000 lobsters sell fast!!!  We are usually sold out by early Sunday afternoon. Live music and entertainment.

August 15-25, 2013  Kentucky State Fair – Louisville, Kentucky
Attracting over 600,000 visitors annually, the fair showcases Kentucky’s agriculture, products, entertainment and people. Highlights include blue ribbon competitions, concerts, carnival rides, and the renowned World Championship Horse Show. The Cast-Iron Chef Competition is held at 1:30 p.m. every day of the fair on the Gourmet Garden stage. Each day two chefs will contend against each other to create a flawless entrée in 30 minutes or less. Attendance: 600,000.

August 22-24, 2013  19th Annual Buttermilk Days Festival – Bardstown, Kentucky
The event that offers good home cooking, along with sweet harmonies, dancing and lots of reunions of families, friends and neighbors.  Corn Hole Tournament, Wine Tasting Contest, Ms. Buttermilk Pageant, Live Music, etc.

September 6-8, 2013  3rd Ammia; Kentucky State BBQ Festival
Danville, Kentucky
This is an eating event, so bring your appetite and get ready to enjoy America’s original cuisine served up by celebrity Pitmasters from all over the country. Live bands, a huge children’s play area, raffles and give-aways make this the “go-to” festival of the summer in Central Kentucky.

September 17-22, 2013  Kentucky Bourbon Festival – Bardstown, Kentucky
The Kentucky Bourbon Festival gives you six days full of smooth Bourbon, delicious food, and great entertainment, with a healthy dose of Kentucky hospitality thrown in for good measure. From black tie galas to historical tours, there is something for all ages and interests. It’s a wonderful 5-day event full of activities for the whole family.

September 27-29, 2013  Anderson County Burgoo Festival – Lawrenceburg, Kentucky
Burgoo Capital of the World! Lots of burgoo, music, and vendors of all kinds.
