Oops, they’ve done it again. Marchand’s Executive Chef Mark Heinmann at The Vinoy in St. Petersburg, FL  continues to raise the bar with another superb menu offering.

If you have ever stayed in the Renaissance Vinoy Resort, one of St. Petersburg, FL’s most popular hotel and golf clubs, then you’ve most likely heard of Marchand’s Bar & Grill. The award-winning restaurant has announced their new 1925 Classic Dining Menu to celebrate the year of the opening of the Vinoy Park Hotel.

This new menu, featuring dishes by the restaurant’s renowned culinary team led by Executive Chef Mark Heimann, consists of a three-course meal priced at $19.25. The starter choices are Split Pea & Country Ham Soup with Roasted Carrot Cream or Pickled Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Orange Blossom Honeycomb. Both are superbly prepared and pleasing to the palate. The honeycomb was a nice touch to the beet salad and use of only the freshest ingredients is evident.

Entrees offered are Crispy Pork Belly, Cheddar Grits and Roasted Butternut squash with Maple Butter. The helping of Pork Belly was very generous and the grits were smooth and complimented the sweet and savory butternut squash.

Another selection is Lamb Shoulder which was perfectly cooked to a moist finish and paired perfectly with the Israeli Couscous, Mint, Tomato and Tempura Preserved Lemon Rings. Herb Crusted Day Boat Cod with Middle Neck Clam Chowder, Soppressata, Fingerling Potatoes and Celery satisfies even the most discerning palate and rounds out the entree selection.

The menu has suggested pairings with craft Beer from Florida Avenue or select wines from Dynamite Vineyards. The Dynamite Vineyard label features a different, colorful vineyard scene done by a wine country artist expressing the sense of place and handcrafted nature of the wines. Florida Avenue Cold Storage Craft Brewery purchased the equipment from Anheuser Busch facility at the famous Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL and makes Florida Style hand crafted beers.

For dessert there’s a Dark Chocolate Waffle with Salted Caramel Gelato and White Chocolate Ganache, and the delicious sounding “S’Mores” Marshmallow Milk chocolate Bread pudding with Graham Cracker Ice Cream.

This should put you in the mood…

This exciting new menu is available seven days a week from 5:00pm-6:30pm in Marchand’s dining room, and reservations are recommended.
