Marchand’s at the Vinoy Unveils Inspired Winter Menu

Marchand's Winter Menu at Vinoy Resort and Golf Club

Marchand’s Dining Room at The Renaissance Vinoy announces  a spectacular winter menu. For those seeking the perfect dining destination, look no further than downtown St. Petersburg, FL. This new menu is available from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. daily beginning January 6, 2012 and was inspired by the classic tastes of the period hotel it’s located in.

 

I can’t think of a better way to kick off the new year than with a new menu offering. I was privileged to taste the classically inspired menu offered by the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, managed by Marriott Hotels. The new menu allows guests savory dishes from the award winning Marchands’ for the very budget friendly price of only $19.25. For starters, guests can select from a smooth and rich Beer and Cheddar Soup topped with Spicy Popcorn, or a Strawberry Bruschetta with Gourmet Greens, Goat Cheese and Spiced Almonds. The soup was perfect for a cool winter day with the delicate popcorn a perfect topping to the soup. The salad was bursting with flavor with a perfect combination of savory and sweet flavors. Moving on to the entree, guests choose from generous portions of either a succulent Braised Short Rib served with Cauliflower Risotto and Roasted Mushrooms & Tomatoes, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with creamy Truffle-White Cheddar Mac & Cheese and Bacon Braised Greens or Pan Fried Trout, Brown Butter, Haricot Vert and Green Apple-Almond Salad. All were superbly prepared, presented beautifully and were reminiscent of the award winning meals Marchand’s is known for. To round out this spectacular meal, guests can choose from either a creamy Goat Cheese Cheesecake with Strawberry Jam or  a Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with a Sea Salt-Caramel Sauce which was to die for.

This menu is worth the trip to St. Petersburg and you can walk off the dinner with a beautiful stroll along the bay and Marina located directly across the street. Whether by land or by sea, this is a do not miss menu. Congratulations to Chef Mark Heimann and the entire culinary team at Marchand’s for putting this winter winner together.
