May 31-June 1, 2013  Smokin’ In Steele BBQ & Blues Festival – Owatonna, MN
May 31-June 2, 2013  29th Annual Buffalo Days – Luverne, Minnesota

June 1, 2013  The Rhubarb Festival – Lanesboro, Minnesota
Celebrate Rhubarb, Minnesota’s sweet-tart favorite. Free tasting of rhubarb delights, Rhubarb Olympics for all ages, Rhubarb Rant Speaker’s Corner and rhubarb growing contest. The Rhubarb Sisters will entertain you with song and also singing this year will be the Rutabaga Brothers.

June 1, 2013  Stearns County Breakfast on the Farm – Albany, Minnesota
A hands-on, educational event designed to help people of all ages learn more about the farms and farm families that produce our food.  Breakfast on the Farm is held at a working dairy farm, giving visitors an opportunity to see firsthand where milk comes from. But the Breakfast is about more than dairy farms. Stearns County’s other agricultural industries – beef, swine, sheep, goats, poultry, and crops – are showcased at the Breakfast through exhibits and activities, including a farm animal petting zoo and farm tour.

June 1-2, 2013  June Bloom Wine Event – Winona, Minnesota
This special event presents ample opportunities to sample fine food and wine, from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Each winery on the Great River Road Wine Trail will feature their award winning wines and ciders  paired with an array of local foods designed with gourmet flair. In addition to local foods, some wineries will also feature live music by local talent.

June 7-9, 2013  Pine Island Cheese Festival – Pine Island, Minnesota
Antique Tractor Show, Parades, Cheese Ball Contest, Mud Bog, Wine & Cheese Tasting, Street Dance, Midway, Car Show, Pie Stand.  In July of 1911 a group of small dairies cooperated to build a Prize Winning World Record 6,000 lb. Cheese on a railroad flatcar.  The Pine Island Cheese Festival started in September 1936, and was held annually through 1940 when World War II interrupted. When the festival was reborn in 1949, it was switched to a weekend in June. Since then, the cheese festival has been the opening festival of the summer in southeastern Minnesota.

June 8, 2013  Wild Edibles 2013 – Grand Rapids, Minnesota
Learn what common plants growing in northern Minnesota forests are edible and how to harvest and prepare them. Nature hike and demonstration cooking. Sponsored by Forest History Center.

June 10, 2013  Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Minneapolis HOTlist
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Honorary Chef Chair Tim McKee invites you to the Guthrie Theater on June 10 to sample the Twin Cities’ hottest food and drink trends at the Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Minneapolis HOTlist: chefs will offer portions of their very best dishes for you to taste, and bartenders will shake up unique cocktails and pour fine wine and beer for your enjoyment. Whose cuisine will reign supreme? Cast your vote for your favorite dish of the night to decide.

June 13-16, 2013  Tater Daze – Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Tater Daze is a unique festival where residents pay homage to the humble potato. Early settlers discovered that potatoes flourished in the flat, sandy soil of the area. Through the Great Depression, drought and urbanization, Brooklyn Park has shown its strength as a community willing to work together and make our city a welcoming place for everyone.

June 13-17, 2013  Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest – Cottage Grove, Minnesota
Held at Kingston Park, the family focused event offers something for everyone–wonderful food, fantastic bands, a parade, a carnival and much, much more! Attendance: 15,000+.

June 15, 2013  Annual Chocolate, Shakespeare & Champagne – Winona, Minnesota
Decadent desserts and champagne will be served at what has become the kick-off to the Shakespeare Festival and the summer social and arts season. This event is a wonderful way to get to know the actors and crew of the Festival, get a sneak peek at scenes from the plays this season, catch-up with old friends, and spend time in stunning surroundings.

June 15, 2013  St. Paul Summer Beer Fest – St. Paul, Minnesota
Dedicated to craft beers, this 5th annual outdoor festival will feature sampling from 100 breweries in a commemorative tasting glass, live music, food, educational seminars, a silent auction benefiting the YMCA of St. Paul, and the fun atmosphere of MN State Fairgrounds.

June 21-Aug 16, 2013  Pine River Duck Races – Pine River, Minnesota
The Pine River Duck Races are held each Friday, June 21 through August 16, 2013 at the Pine River Dam in downtown Pine River.

June 24-26, 2013  HFTP Club and Hotel Controllers Conference – Minneapolis, Minnesota
Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals.  Co-located with HITEC.  Join hospitality controllers and industry experts for two full days of club and hotel specific education, designed to help you solve professional challenges and maximize the potential of your workplace.

Taste of Kraut recipe contest, Minnesota Brewery beer tasting, bingo, card and bean bag tournaments, music by local talent, trivia, a raffle, as well as plenty of brats and kraut.

June 29, 2013  9th Annual CHUM Rhubarb Festival – Duluth, Minnesota
Celebrate all things Ruhbarb! The abundant garden fruit that sweetens so nicely is featured in more than 900 pies, plus baked goods, preserves, music, games, and kids’ activities. Enter your own rhubarb in our largest stalk and leaf contest.

June 29, 2013  Winnebago Craft Beer Festival – Winnebago, Minnesota
A festival dedicated to the enjoyment of craft beer with over 50 different beers from some great craft breweries available for sampling, food vendors, and live entertainment. Proceeds will benefit Lions Club projects in Winnebago.

JULY 4, 2013 – There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 5-7, 2013  Deer’s Annual Wild Rice Festival –  Deer River, Minnesota
The World’s Largest Wild Rice Festival for over 60 years, a celebration of wild rice, one of the area’s natural staples.

July 9-10, 2013  Beanhole Days and Arts & Crafts Fair – Pequot Lakes, Minnesota
Burying of the Beans Ceremony is held every July. The beans, prepared by secret recipe behind locked doors, are buried in huge cast iron kettles and cooked over a wood fire for 24 hours.

July 10-13, 2013  NACUFS National Conference – Minneapolis, Minnesota

July 12-13, 2013  Corn & Clover Carnival – Hinckley, Minnesota
Huge Midway, Bingo, lots of food. Celebrating 100 years from the very first carnival. This will be the 82nd carnival – as there were several years the carnival was not held due to the Depression.

July 13, 2013  The Great Minnesota Pie Extravaganza 2013 – Grand Rapids, Minnesota
A good cook and plenty of food held a logging camp together. While meat, potatoes, and beans were the cook shack staples, it was the pies the men loved most. Held at the Forest History Center, this event allows visitors to contrast pies served in the logging camps with modern day creations.
July 13, 2013  Caledonia Bluff Country Brewfest – Caledonia, Minnesota
Beer Tasting of Craft/Micro/Specialty Beers. 15+ Breweries represented with 50+ different brews as well as vittles and Spring Grove Bottling Works soda.

July 13, 2013  All Pints North – Duluth, Minnesota
Join the brewers of Minnesota by the shores of Lake Superior at Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth, and celebrate craft beer 2oz at a time! All Pints North Summer Brew Fest will feature beer from breweries around the region, live music and tasty food in an iconic setting.

July 13-14, 2013  15th Annual Raspberries & Wine Festival – Chisago City, Minnesota
Celebrate summer at Winehaven with hourly vineyard tours, complimentary wine tasting and lunch at the vineyard.  We will also be releasing our new batch of Raspberry Wine!

July 13-21, 2013  79th Annual Raspberry Festival – Hopkins, Minnesota
A Tradition Preserved. The festival features a search for the Golden Raspberry, the Grande Day Parade, a Family Day and much more.

July 19-20, 2013  Music Festival & 63rd Annual Muskie Days – Nevis, Minnesota
Celebration includes kids’ activities, flea market, parade, scavenger hunt, carnival games, beer garden and street dance.

July 19-21, 2013  6th Annual Middle Eastern Festival – West St. Paul, Minnesota
St. George Church.  Highlights include Middle Eastern cuisine, live entertainment, a traditional marketplace, games for children and camel rides. Admission is free.  The menu includes: roast lamb on the spit, chicken kabobs, kafta, falafel, hummus, gyros, tabouli, delicious pastries and the church’s famous Syrian bread.  Beer, wine and soft drinks will also be served.  The John Khoury Band will play and the church’s dance group will perform the traditional Dabke dance.

July 20, 2013  Summer Beer Dabbler at Upper Landing – St. Paul, Minnesota
Craft beer sampling from more than 50 local, regional and national breweries, gourmet food trucks, live music and many more surprises to be announced. Also on tap, the official festival kick-off with tapping the inaugural Oak Barrel brew – this year’s beer is to be a special release from Flat Earth Brewery, winner of the Lord Dabbler’s Cup.

July 23-28, 2013  Corn Capital Days – Olivia, Minnesota
Celebrating Olivia, located in one of the most productive agricultural areas in the United States and known as the “Corn Capital of the World,” having the highest concentration of seed research and processing companies of any place in the globe.

July 25, 2013  Toast & Taste in the Gardens – Chaska, Minnesota
Enjoy tastes from top Twin Cities independent restaurants, sips from local wineries and breweries, while strolling Arboretum gardens.

July 25-27, 2013  Annual Cass Lake Rib Fest 2013 – Cass Lake, Minnesota
In addition to delicious ribs, there will be a variety of arts and craft vendors, live music, children’s activities, parades, Native American dancers, a tug of war contest, beer tent, the Cass Lake Idol and Talent Show, and a Poetry Slam!

July 26-28, 2013  Blueberry Festival – Lake George, Minnesota

July 26-28, 2013  79th Annual Kolacky Days – Montgomery, Minnesota
Celebrates the locally famous filled pastry with a Czechoslovakian themed festival.

July 26-28, 2013  Aebleskiver Days – Tyler, Minnesota
Annual celebration of Danish heritage. Danish sandwiches, and the aebleskive – a tennis ball shaped Danish pancake. Games for the kids, crafts and entertainment for the adults, and of course, good food everywhere.

July 26-28, 2013  Catfish Derby Days – Franklin, Minnesota
City festival with fishing contest, pageant, street dances, chess, sports tournaments, parade, food and beverage vendors.

August 22-Sept 2, 2013  Minnesota State Fair – Falcon Heights, Minnesota
Showcasing the state’s finest agriculture, art, and industry, “The Great Minnesota Get-Together” is the largest state fair in the country in terms of daily attendance. Visitors enjoy many different types of food, with over 50 kinds served on a stick: espresso on-a-stick, hotdish on-a-stick, walleye on-a-stick and deep fried pickles on-a-stick to name a few. During a typical year, 20,000 gallons of milk are served at the all-you-can-drink concession. Don’t miss the Princess Kay of the Milky Way butter sculpture.
Attendance: 1.7 million.

August 22-Sept 2, 2013  Eco Experience – Minnesota State Fair, St Paul, Minnesota
12 days of healthy local foods in the EcoExperience at the Minnesota State Fair. 48 cooking demos – over 100 food samplers – photo essay of three sustainable farms – food film screenings – and a different food theme every day!

This outdoor festival also has great music and food to enhance the lively atmosphere brought by the attendees!

October 26, 2013  Twin Cities Veg Fest – Minneapolis, Minnesota
Twin Cities Veg Fest is for anyone and everyone – from omnivores to vegetarians and vegans! If you’ve ever thought about becoming vegetarian or are interested in reducing animal suffering, you’ll love Twin Cities Veg Fest.  Learn where your food comes from, how to be a healthy vegetarian or vegan, and why being compassionate benefits everyone. November 9-10, 2013  Holiday Harvest Wine & Food Festival
Winona, Cannon Falls, Red Wing, Minnesota
Start your celebration of the season by enjoying holiday foods and wines on the Great River Road Wine Trail. Plan to visit all ten wineries in the Mississippi River Valley of southeast Minnesota, northern Iowa, and western Wisconsin. Enjoy the featured wines and ciders paired with holiday foods.
