A charming “Garden Party” Wine Festival taking place on the grounds of the historic Hotel Fauchere, complemented by a series of important “Meet the Chef/Meet the Vintner” Food & Wine Pairing Workshops held throughout the afternoon inside the hotel’s delightful Delmonico Room. Sample and purchase the wines of some of the Keystone State’s most exciting wineries while exploring culinary delights presented by the Hotel Fauchere’s Executive Chef Christopher Bates and his team.
June 1-2, 2013 Seneca Lake Wine and Food 2013 – Watkins Glen, New York

June 8-9, 2013 Strawberry Festival – Forestville, New York
A celebration of the area”s strawberry harvest. Fresh strawberry shortcake, chocolate dipped strawberries & Festival wine. Food, wine, draft beer and Merritt’s Sangria Wine Slush. Free wine tours & tastings. Classic car cruise, live music, craft vendors, dancing. Hosted by Merrit Estate Winery, each year working with a different non-profit organization to raise money for its cause.
June 8-9, 2013 11th Annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party – New York, New York
Admission is free. The weekend-long event occurs every June and brings together the country’s top pitmasters who cook up their award-winning food for over a 100,000 barbecue enthusiasts. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Madison Square Park, the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party attracts people from near and far to sustain and celebrate America’s authentic culinary and musical traditions. Attendance: 100,000.

June 10, 2013 28th Annual Chefs’ Tribute – New York, New York
Citymeals-on-Wheels invites you to join us at the 28th Annual Chefs’ Tribute Event. This year, renowned chefs from New York and California will gather at Rockefeller Center to compete for a good cause. The event will also feature signature cocktails from top spirit sponsors and stellar wines from notable wineries. Last year, over 1,000 guests gathered in Rockefeller Center and raised over $828,000, enough to provide 128,900 meals for our city’s frail aged neighbors.

June 14-23, 2013 Rochester Real Beer Expo – Rochester, New York
The anchor event of the Rochester Real Beer Week is the Third Annual 2013 Rochester Beer Expo. Local business owners from the award-winning South Wedge neighborhood have joined forces through the Business Association of the South Wedge Area (BASWA) to bring you a street party with over 80 of the most exciting craft beers currently available.

June 22-23, 2013 Cherry Festival – Romulus, New York
Cobblestone Farm Winery presents its 9th annual Cherry Festival, featuring cherry picking, sweet treats, wine tasting, live music, hay rides, arts & crafts, scrumptious food, 4H petting zoo, and the Beverly Animal Shelter Adoption Tent.
June 28-30, 2013 Western New York BBQ & Music Festival – Hamburg, New York
Presented by the Patchin Fire Company of Boston, New York, a not for profit organization comprised of men and women working together making our community a better place to live. The Festival is a barbeque competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, the largest BBQ sanctioning body in the world as well as the New England BBQ Society. This high profile three day event features BBQ food vendors, music, rides, classic car show. Competition includes…Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned BBQ Contest & New England Barbecue Society (NEBS) sanctioned Grilling Contest.

June 29, 2013 Caribbean Food and Music Festival – Brooklyn, New York
This event will showcase foods from several countries from the Caribbean region namely, Jamaica, Trinidad, Haiti, Barbados, Guyana, Grenada and Puerto Rico. In addition Music from the region will be played for patrons dancing pleasure. Music suchas Reggae, Compa, Salsa, Zouk and Soca will make the event an exciting and pleasurable experience. Tickets are only: $45.00 and it includes food and drinks (non-alcoholic).
June 30-July 2, 2013 Summer Fancy Food Show – New York, New York
As of March 1st, 2013, the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) officially changed its name to the Specialty Food Association. The largest specialty food and beverage show in North America, with more than 2,400 exhibitors from around the world, presenting more than 180,000 specialty foods to discover and sample.

JULY 4, 2013– There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.
July 4, 2013 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog-Eating Contest – Coney Island, NY
The men and women will compete separately for the title of Men’s Hot Dog Eating World Champion and Women’s Hot Dog Eating World Champion, as well as a $20,000 cash purse for each division. More than 40,000 fans come to the free event, arriving several hours in advance. For these fans, Nathan’s Famous produces a pre-show beginning at 10 a.m. that will include a death-defying performance by the Coney Island Strongman and several live bands. Nathan’s Famous will also provide a jumbotron to increase visual access for fans. Attendance: 40,000
July 4-6, 2013 8th Annual I Love BBQ and Music Festival – Lake Placid, New York
This annual event attracts the best BBQ competitors in the country and continues to grow in popularity year after year. Sampling opportunities, food and beverage concessions and live entertainment.
July 12-14, 2013 Finger Lakes Wine Festival – Watkins Glen, New York
More than Wine….the Festival also features a variety of arts & crafts, jewelry, gourmet food, wine and culinary related vendors.
July 13, 2013 Cheddar Cheese Festival – Adams, New York
A village wide celebration of the agriculture and cheese making industry in Jefferson County.
July 13-14, 2013 Troy Pig Out – Troy, New York
New for 2013 – the Pig Out joins fources with BaconFest NY! The annual Troy Pig Out welcomes professional BBQ teams from across the United States and Canada for this two-day weekend competition – which includes a People’s Choice St. Louis Rib competition – on Saturday, and the “main event” on Sunday. Barbeque vendors and live music are the main attractions for guests to the festival, filling Riverfront Park both days, and featuring a special fireworks show on Saturday night over the Hudson River. This year we will add ‘Bacon Alley’ – a special section of the festival filled with vendors offering bacon-y treats sure to satisfy your inner most bacon cravings. The Troy Pig Out is sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Association and the Office of the Governor as the Official New York State BBQ Championship which qualifies the winner to move on to the National Championships! July 13-14, 2013 30th Annual Taste of Buffalo – Buffalo, New York
Nearly 60 restaurants, 6 wineries and over 450,000 invited guests will gather in downtown Buffalo to enjoy “fun by the forkful”. One of the region’s signature events, the Taste of Buffalo is the largest two-day food festival in the United States.
July 19, 2013 Empire Brewfest & American BBQ Championships – Syracuse, New York
The Empire Brewfest is a longstanding favorite in Syracuse with craft beer sampling and music. Now add to that some world class BBQ and this is a “can’t miss” event!
July 20, 2013 Hamburg Burgerfest – Hamburg, New York
The festival celebrates Hamburg’s claim as “birthplace of the hamburger” with arts & crafts, car show, film festival, burger-eating contests, games, music, and of course, tasty food and hamburgers. The Taste of Hamburg portion of the festival features offerings from local restaurants.
July 26, 2013 Pasión de Esperanza – Niagara-on-the-Lake, New York
A celebration of Wine, Food, and Music plus a Silent Auction and Raffle Prizes at beautiful Mori Gardens. All proceeds will go to fund Wells of Hope’s projects in Guatemala.

It’s Soup for the People! Going into its seventh year for 2013, the Troy Chowderfest welcomes chowder-lovers throughout Capital Region to come out and judge who has the best chowder in the area. On the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, over 30 restaurants fill Riverfront Park, with decorated booths and all sorts of creative chowders. It’s a full day of fall food, live music, and family fun! Prizes are awarded for best seafood, vegetarian, most original and overall favorite – judged by a secret panel of local restaurant critics. Festival-goers are able to vote on the coveted ‘People’s Choice’ award.

The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE pays homage to one of the greatest dining cities in the world. November 9, 2013 5th Annual International Great Beer Expo

The biggest names in international brewing will gather at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the 4th annual International Great Beer Expo. December 4, 2013 BID Annual Dinner – Troy, New York
The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District (BID) is excited to announce its second Annual Dinner, on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 being held at the beautiful and historic Franklin Plaza. This event, part of a number of events in the week leading up to the Victorian Stroll, will be a wonderful chance for festive networking, all with a Victorian theme. Awards will be presented to a New Business of the Year, an Established Business of the Year along with the BID Community Spirit Award.
